Laurel is in her second year of the Integrated Business and Humanities program at McMaster. This is her first year being a part of the DeGroote Commerce Society, where she is gaining experience as the Event Coordinator in the Academic portfolio for the 25/26 year. In this role, she has the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of initiatives that strengthen student engagement throughout the DeGroote community. She has worked closely with fellow student leaders within the DCS and beyond to support events that bring students together and highlight involvement and academic opportunities. Throughout her involvement with the DCS, she has been able to explore event planning, marketing coordination and creation, as well as community engagement while contributing to the DeGroote student experience.
