The DeGroote Marketing Association (DMA) is a student-run club at McMaster University, focused on experiential learning and providing students with unique opportunities that differ from learning within a classroom. We strive to build a bridge between students at DeGroote and the realm of marketing and its many intricacies through our workshops, events, and networking sessions.

DeGroote Impact focuses on the growing intersection of business, sustainability, and social impact. We aim to connect students with the ideas, people, and experiences shaping this area of business. Through case competitions, fundraising initiatives, and events, as well as industry and community partnerships, students can apply what they learn, develop practical skills, and contribute to meaningful change.

The DeGroote Finance and Investment Council (DFIC) is one of DeGroote’s largest undergraduate clubs and one of Canada’s leading student-managed investment funds. For students interested in investing and exploring careers in finance, DFIC offers hands-on experience through our Investment Council, Analyst Academy, Women’s Accelerator Program, Quant Team, and prestigious events. Students gain real-world skills, build connections with industry professionals, and develop the experience needed to break into the finance industry.

The DeGroote First Year Orientation Program pairs first-year Commerce and IBH students with an upper-year mentor to guide them academically, socially and professionally throughout their first year at the DeGroote School of Business. FYOP holds events throughout the school year to facilitate these relationships and help students develop a passion for life at DeGroote and ensure a smooth transition socially, academically and professionally.

The DPA’s mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment at the DeGroote School of Business that celebrates and advocates for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The club aims to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and respect, enhancing the educational, professional, and social experiences of its members.

The DeGroote Law Association (DLA) brings together undergraduate students with a shared interest in business and law. Whether students are considering a career in law or simply looking to explore the field, DLA provides opportunities through educational events, networking, and professional development to learn about the legal profession, connect with like-minded peers, and discover how law intersects with the world of business.

DCA offers access to exclusive and engaging events that provide valuable learning opportunities and the chance to connect with experienced consultants, alumni, and leading consulting firms. DCA also brings together a supportive community of students from diverse backgrounds who share an interest in consulting and related career paths.

Jeux du Commerce Central (JDCC) is the largest undergraduate business school competition in Central Canada, held annually in the winter term. The DeGroote School of Business JDCC boasts 3 consecutive School of the Year wins. Over the course of three days, our 40 delegates take part in academic case competitions (e.g. Finance, Entrepreneurship, Digital Strategy, Human resources, etc.), parliamentary-style debates, sports tournaments, and social competitions. Teams also volunteer and fundraise for community organizations and charities before the big weekend.

DeGroote’s Analytical Insights (DAI) empowers business students to take their analytical skills beyond the classroom and into the industry. Through hands-on learning opportunities, workshops, and industry-focused events, DAI helps students develop technical skills, explore the role of analytics across business sectors, and understand how data drives business decisions. DAI provides students with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to take one step closer to becoming industry ready.

DBIB is committed to facilitating learning and development through pairing black students with industry professionals, scholarships, internship experiences, and recruitment opportunities. Their goal is to give black students equal career opportunities and facilitate cross-functional communication amongst the DeGroote School of Business and beyond.

DeGroote Women in Business is a club that aspires to fully engage, motivate and empower female-identifying and gender-diverse business students through business education and experience. We strive to provide a smooth and confident transition from an academic environment to a professional environment. The club offers a variety of experiential learning opportunities including women-led panels, networking sessions, and collaborative workshops with the goal of breaking barriers and uplifting fellow students.

DAA’s collective goal is to provide students with the opportunities and skills necessary to obtain their CPA designation and thrive within the accounting field. Through various events such as competitions, workshops, and panels, they strive to provide members with opportunities for professional growth and development, while also providing academic support and guidance in accounting for students.

The DeGroote Asian Student Association (DASA) is a vibrant student-run organization at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. Dedicated to celebrating Asian culture, fostering inclusivity, and building a strong sense of community, DASA provides students with social events, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. Whether connecting peers with industry professionals or hosting cultural celebrations, DASA acts as a supportive hub where members can embrace their heritage, expand their networks, and thrive academically and socially throughout their university journey.

The DeGroote Sports Business Association (DSBA) is DeGroote's home for the business of sport. As the central hub connecting students to the sports industry, we bridge marketing, analytics, management, media, and more, empowering students to build the skills, connections, and experiences they need to break in. Led by our dedicated directors across marketing, finance, events, and operations, we deliver hands-on programming all year long, including Career Forums, Industry Networking, and Headquarters and Venue Tours. Our members gain direct exposure to the industry through our work with organizations such as Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), the CFL, Golf Canada, TSN, and Oak View Group.
