What we do.
We work with the DeGroote School of Business (DSB) and staff to improve the undergraduate Commerce and Integrated Business and Humanities programs. We are the main liaison between students, internal and external groups, and advocates for student interest. We strive to improve existing opportunities and introduces new and enriching experiences that better the DeGroote student experience.

We are the DeGroote Commerce Society (DCS), an organization of student leaders committed to fostering growth within the commerce faculty. We are dedicated to elevating the student body by fostering an environment for collaboration between students, faculty and our 19+ clubs and committees.

Greensuits
Greensuits or Welcome Week ‘reps’ are a group of over 115 students committed to providing you and the entire incoming first year class with the best transition and orientation experience to get ready for university life at McMaster. Throughout Welcome Week, the Greensuits team plans an exciting Welcome Week for you that includes academic and social programming, interactive games and activities, Faculty-based events and opportunities to connect with other incoming and upper-year students along with staff and faculty.
DeGroote Marketing Association
The DeGroote Marketing Association (DMA) is a student-run club at McMaster University, focused on experiential learning and providing students with unique opportunities that differ from learning within a classroom. We strive to build a bridge between students at DeGroote and the realm of marketing and its many intricacies through our workshops, events, and networking sessions.

DeGroote Impact
DeGroote Impact was established with the goal of accelerating community-led change by integrating humanitarian issues into student life. Through their initiatives, DeGroote Impact provides students with the opportunity to create a lasting impact in the community and in their own lives. Their events include a clothing drive, impact investing case competition, sustainability-themed events.
Degroote Finance & Investment Council
DFIC is the largest undergraduate business club at McMaster. We are composed of 4 main branches and each of our teams provides a unique experience for students. DFIC enables students to grow their careers in finance while receiving support from a passionate group of like-minded individuals. These 4 branches include the, Investment Council, Events Team, you will host, Mentorship Program, and 3 specialized teams (Quant Group, Private Capital Group (PCG), and the Research Group).

First Year Orientation Program
The DeGroote First Year Orientation Program pairs first-year Commerce and IBH students with an upper-year mentor to guide them academically, socially and professionally throughout their first year at the DeGroote School of Business. FYOP holds events throughout the school year to facilitate these relationships and help students develop a passion for life at DeGroote and ensure a smooth transition socially, academically and professionally.
DeGroote Summit
The DeGroote Summit is the first-ever leadership and development conference at the DeGroote School of Business. It aims to build upon the education gained in the classroom through an enriching multi-day conference that unites students and professionals. With the vision of fueling growth, inspiring passion, and challenging the future generation of leaders, the conference strives to bring impactful learning experiences in the form of keynote speeches, panel discussions, networking, and a vast array of experiential learning opportunities. Taking place in January in the heart of downtown Hamilton, the conference will engage 150+ students from McMaster University and other universities across Canada.
DeGroote Pride Association
The DPA’s mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment at the DeGroote School of Business that celebrates and advocates for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The club aims to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and respect, enhancing the educational, professional, and social experiences of its members.

DLA’s goal is to foster a dynamic and inclusive community for undergraduate business students who have an interest in the field of law. DCA offers access to exclusive, informative, and engaging events with amazing learning opportunities and chances to network with top-performing consultants, alumni, and notable consulting firms. DCA boasts a knowledgeable and supportive community of members from a variety of backgrounds and experiences with an interest in careers in consulting and beyond.

Jeux Du Commerce Central (JDCC) DeGroote
Jeux du Commerce Central (JDCC) is the largest undergraduate business school competition in Central Canada, held annually in the winter term. The DeGroote School of Business JDCC boasts 2 consecutive School of the Year wins. Over the course of three days, our 40 delegates take part in academic case competitions (e.g. Finance, Entrepreneurship, Digital Strategy, Human resources, etc.), parliamentary-style debates, sports tournaments, and social competitions. Teams also volunteer and fundraise for community organizations and charities before the big weekend.
DeGroote Black in Business
DBIB is committed to facilitating learning and development through pairing black students with industry professionals, scholarships, internship experiences, and recruitment opportunities. Their goal is to give black students equal career opportunities and facilitate cross-functional communication amongst the DeGroote School of Business and beyond.

DAA’s collective goal is to provide students with the opportunities and skills necessary to obtain their CPA designation and thrive within the accounting field. Through various events such as competitions, workshops, and panels, they strive to provide members with opportunities for professional growth and development, while also providing academic support and guidance in accounting for students.

DeGroote Women in Business
DeGroote Women in Business is a club that aspires to fully engage, motivate and empower female business students through business education and experience.
